Blackout Arts

Summary

Blackout initially started at the now-defunct Ashton Court Festival in Bristol. It was its own tent and had its own program of weird and wonderful music and film, mainly skewing to the leftfield. I was in my 20's back then and Chiz Williams kindly asked me a number of times to design the look and feel of the programme. I worked with Adam Faraday on one of the years, photographing black wax in milk which was then used on the cover. These programmes were used as promos around the city before the festival and then during it so that people could work out what was going on. Blackout then expanded a bit and had some tents at other festivals such as Shambala Festival and Greenman.
